The Wait Is Over: The new Lamborghini Countach LP500 is Coming Soon

Lamborghini recently revived the legendary name Countach by presenting a modern successor, but the Italian manufacturer does not stop.

All the planned copies of the Countach are already sold out, and Lamborghini is once again turning to its glorious past and announcing something very exciting. The new teaser clip, which is just over a minute long, shows the details of a car that will represent another revival of the Lamborghini classic.

It seems to be a prototype LP500, a model that appeared at the Geneva Motor Show in 1971, and the seats that appear in the clip correspond to this model. It is possible that Lamborghini recreated the prototype or made a special version of the new Countach that pays homage to the style of the LP500. The company has previously announced that it will produce only 112 copies of the new Countach. Some believe that the video hints at the classic Miura, a Lamborghini model that began production in 1966.

“50 years ago, it paved the road to the future. Now it’s back on the road” is the message quoted in the clip. This once again points to the LP500 celebrating its 50th birthday this year.

No matter what the surprise, it comes at a time when Italian manufacturers of exotic cars are struggling with the reality of increasingly strict regulations and the elimination of the use of internal combustion engines. Switching to a fully electric offering is significantly harder and more challenging for Lamborghini and Ferrari than for some other mainstream brands. However, the mentioned clip also indicates that Lamborghini’s conventional engine continues to live, at least for now.
