Drawing with chalk on the asphalt is a favorite activity of almost every child. If you haven’t bought chalk yet, you can make your own. All you need are a few ingredients that you have at home.
Ingredients:
4 to 5 eggshells (cleaned and dried). Boil the peels and remove the membrane
1 teaspoon flour
1 teaspoon of warm water
Food coloring
Paper towels
Procedure:
Bake the eggshells in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. Using a blender or coffee grinder, blend the peels into a fine powder. In a bowl, mix the flour and water until you get a sticky paste. Add a tablespoon of eggshell powder and a drop of food coloring to the dough if desired. Mix well and add more color until you get the desired shade. Compose the desired form of chalk.
If it sticks too much, add a little more hot water. Wrap the chalk in a paper towel and leave it in a cool, dry place for three days.
Place the chalk on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 90 minutes at 150 degrees.
Leave for 24 hours before use.
Use this chalk only on asphalt, as it can leave scratches.
